Vinyl Me,Please Welcome Kit

Vinyl Me, Please is a monthly vinyl record subscription service that provides different picks based on your music taste. For a theoretical VIP Welcome Kit, I had an initial concept of “Escaping Extinction” based on how vinyl records have stood the test of time through many fads and several generations, comparing and contrasting against the extinction of dinosaurs. It’s a bit of a tongue-in-cheek approach, taking something as serious as the mass extinction of an entire species and representing it so playfully with colorful illustrations and rough brush strokes to simulate a child drawing with crayons. The whole piece takes us on a journey from the moment the subscriber gets the box; featuring the dawn of a species with a dinosaur hatching from its egg, all the way to the end of the booklet where a meteor shower suspiciously resembling vinyl records wipes them out. The booklet serves a practical purpose of introducing the subscriber to what Vinyl Me, Please does and stands for, with an about section, testimonials, and a call to action.
